Executive Board – Term 2025-2027
The 2025 Nominating Committee of SBCL would like to give you the opportunity to nominate/consider yourself for this year’s upcoming SBCL Executive Board elections. The following positions are open for election: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Sergeant-at-Arms. All positions serve a term of two years.

To be eligible, candidates must meet the criteria below:

Dues must be current

Possess current USBC Card
-
Have all five SBCL Tournament Shirts

Every member meeting the criteria stated above is eligible to be nominated.
These leadership opportunities help to develop marketable skills in management, supervision, organization and human relations, to name a few, and a successful tenure in office can greatly enhance your professional resume.
The 2025 Nominating Committee invite you to complete the online form for nomination. Online nominations must be received by 5:00 pm, June 6, 2025. We look forward to receiving your nomination. All nominees will be certified by June 23rd. An email ballot will be sent to SBCL members for voting by July 10th. Voting closes July 30th . The New Officers will be announced by the end of August and sworn in at the September SBCL Club meeting.

SBCL Executive Board Duties and Responsibilities

President:

The President will preside over all SBCL meetings and will enforce objections, provisions and purpose of the SBCL by-laws.

The President will review SBCL bank statements monthly.

The President will appoint an audit committee to audit the Treasurer’s records.
Vice President:

The Vice President will preside over meetings in the absence of the President.

The Vice President will perform other duties as assigned by the President.
Secretary:

The Secretary will perform all duties assigned by the President and attend all SBCL meetings.

The Secretary will keep on file, for permanent record, account of all proceedings of meeting of SBCL.

The Secretary shall compose all correspondence for SBCL and will notify the members of meetings by telephone or email. Minutes from the SBCL meetings will be electronically disseminated to all members within seven days of each meeting.
Treasurer:

The Treasurer will receive and record all monthly fees, make deposits, withdrawals, and disbursements of SBCL team entry fees. These fees should be disbursed within seven days from receipt of documentation.

The Treasurer will report property and sponsorships donated or paid to SBCL.
Sergeant – at – Arms:
-
The Sergeant-at-Arms shall keep order at all meetings and events, and perform other duties as assigned by the President.
